RadBase: Through
a partnership with Analytical Graphics Inc., SOC
designed RadBase to work in concert with STK/Radar, providing Users
with the high-accuracy RCS data required in demanding radar analysis. Under this partnership,
AGI and its international partners will market and distribute RadBase to
the STK radar community.
Surface
Optics Corporation has developed a fully validated, user friendly software product
for generating accurate RCS, Amplitude and Phase data for complex targets and cultural
features.....[Download Brochure

SOC 100 -Hemispherical Directional
Reflectometer: The SOC-100 Hemispherical
Directional Reflectometer (HDR)
provides a unique capability for characterizing and exploiting the
optical properties of materials. Coupled to the Nicolet
Nexus FTIR, the SOC-100 provides polarized, angular diffuse
reflectance measurements for 10° to 80° incident angles,
for the entire spectral region covered by the FTIR. The spectral
region is nominally 2.0 to 25.0 µm using the standard FTIR
optics, and can be extended to 45 µm using cesium iodide optics.....[Download Brochure

200 - Bidirectional Reflectometer: The
SOC-200 Bidirectional
Reflectometer is a precision laboratory instrument
designed for mapping the bidirectional reflectance distribution
function (BRDF) of surfaces, paints, coatings,
liquids, and particles. Surface Optics Corporation
has measured BRDF data for the industry as a laboratory
service for three decades. This wealth of experience
providing BRDF data for solving real world engineering problems
is incorporated into the design of the SOC-200. These
capabilities together with SOC's experience give this
instrument a unique advantage as a proven engineering
tool.....[Download Brochure

400 - Surface Analysis System: The
heart of the Surface Analysis System is the
SOC-400 FTIR Reflectometer. It was originally
developed for NASA and was awarded
a NASA Certificate of Recognition for Technical
Innovation. This unique FTIR is dedicated to applications related
to surface analysis. The fact that it does not have a traditional sample
compartment opens a long list of useful applications, which cannot
be addressed with a traditional lab bench FTIR. The SOC 400 is portable
not only can it be taken to the sample, it can hand-held during analysis
of virtually any surface.....[Download Brochure

410 - Hand Held Spectral Monitor with DHR Head: Surface
Optics Corporation is introducing a new generation of hand
held spectrometers, the SOC
410. The SOC 410 is a Hand Held Spectral
Monitor. It is a modular device with interchangeable heads
controlled by a PDA computer.
The SOC 410 evolved from the patented SOC
400 Hand Held FTIR Reflectometer, and as its parent it
is designed to work with multiple measurement heads. The
head introduced here is the DHR—Directional Hemispherical
Reflectance measurement head....[Download Brochure

SOC 600 - Hand Held
Bidirectional Reflectometer: Surface
Optics Corporation and Boeing Defense and Space Group, under contract from
the Air Force Research Laboratory, have developed a new hand-held instrument
capable of measuring both BRDF and HDR. Using a patented angular imaging
technique the instrument fully maps the scattering from a half-hemisphere above
the surface with more than 30,000 angularly resolved points and update rates
to 60 measurements per second. The instrument then computes HDR from the
measured BDR. Beam incidence elevation is variable from, θi =
0° to 85°, while
scattering is measured to nearly 90° off
normal. Such capability is extremely important for applications
requiring knowledge of surface appearance at oblique viewing
angles. The current instrument operates over the range of 3 µm
to 12 µm,
with extension into the visible band possible.....[

SOC 700 - Visible Spectral Imaging
System: The
SOC-700 Hyperspectral Imaging (HS) System
is the affordable solution to your off the- shelf
real-time HS processing needs. Out of the
box, the SOC-700 can be used in demanding
analysis, quality control and detection
work either locally or over a network. The
imager, processor and analysis software
are integrated in a wellcalibrated, high
-quality package that is both portable and
easy to set up and use.....[Download Brochure

VP2 - FTIR Accessory for Analysis of Non-Volatile Residues: The
VP2 assists with analysis of Non Volatile Residues (NVRs). This is teh newest version
of the VSphere FTIR accessory developed and patented by Surface Optics Corporation.
The
VP2 produces almost transmission quality infrared spectra, with no solvent present
during analysis. The concept appplied here eliminates the need for infrared transparent
solvents, which were largely prohibited from use by the EPA. In the process of analysis
the solvent is simply evaporated and only the nonvolatile fraction is analysed.....[Download Brochure
